I was born in Cali, Colombia where my admiration for artistry, skilled craftsmanship, manufacturing processes and resourceful methods began. My grandfather was a shoe maker and I grew up watching how materials can be transformed into tangible and useful products just from an idea and a simple sketch.
The design process fascinated me even as a young girl and I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t drawing, painting, cutting, or creating something. Later in life, my family and I moved to the United States. Migrating to a new country brought many hardships in my life but it also made me very empathetic to people and their journeys. Growing up in Colombia and the United States shaped my love for art, culture, technology and design.
I’m that person who sees something and says “why is this so complicated? Can we make it easier?” and the problem-solving wheels go off in my head. I’m a UX/UI designer with a background in Industrial Design and Fine Arts. My design process starts with research where I’m able to empathize with the users and understand their experiences, pain points, needs, and motivations. I love to interpret data that leads me on a user-centered design process and to creative and simple design solutions.
I'm passionate about working in design teams but in my spare time, I love to play with my dogs, paddleboard and create cool dog stuff for my Etsy shop.
